TONY BURGESS has been a professional comic since the age of 19. As the Madchester scene was burgeoning Burgess was up and down the country developing an instantly winning stage persona and some of the tightest written routines in the business. As he writes for some of the biggest names on the circuit and does a bit of telly (co-wrote Johnny Vegas's 'Ideal' and performed as 'Troy FM to name just one) a l;ive appearance is a rare and precious thing. As an old mate of the guy who books The globe he s agreed to pop down and strut some of the funniest stuff you ll see this year. Unmissable.

Now, if that s not enough we ve also got GARY DELANEY. If you don't like one liners don't come! gary has elevated them to a different level fusing wiiticisms with a clinical delivery that results in an enviable gag rate. Frank Skinner liked him so much he asked him to do the warm up for his TV show. 'Nuff said!

This happens only every 4 Years so we at the globe thought we would do something special.  Not sure exactly what will be going  on but i have heard rummers of a game of deal or no deal (or beer or no beer as we like to call it), DJ's, Prizes and much much more.  Come down and use the bonus day to its full potential.

October last year saw this fantastic band grace the stage at the globe to a sell out crowd and now they are back for round two. Anyone who has followed the north-west music scene over the last few years will have without doubt come across the fantastic band that were ‘The Maker’.  Well here they are back with a new name, new music and a slightly altered line up.  Sensorites have spent the last year writing new music and have furnished there myspace with four of there best recordings and are now ready to release them on the globe. You must check out there myspace and get down for this one. They are a band to watch out for.
